Paul Daffinee was the leader of the 1972 Delaware Valley Conference Championship Men's Cross Team. He set the course and meet record at the league meet and qualified as an individual for NAIA Nationals. In 1973, he earned NCCAA All-American recognition. He set the Eastern home course record of 27:34 over the 5.25 mile race.

Daffinee's teammates from 1972 joined him for the induction ceremony. While they spoke a good bit about running, the primary memories were of meaningful friendships that sharpened character.
