Hall of Honor
Andrea Collesedis Roos holds the distinction of being the first athlete inducted into Eastern’s Hall of Honor.
Andrea Collesidis Roos holds Eastern career scoring records for both basketball and lacrosse. Originally nominated because she has scored more collegiate goals than any woman's lacrosse player in NCAA history, her basketball accomplishments quickly came to light and the two-sport standout and 2002 graduate was seen as an athlete who would set the bar high for all future classes.
Former head Coach Carolyn Urban presented her goal-scoring star for induction. She commented that while Roos achieved these tremendous milestones as a player, she raised the prestige of Eastern's Athletic Department as her accomplishment was recorded by local and national media. In receiving the honor, Roos thanked her coaches, parents, and teammates for their role in helping her to reach her potential as a player and as a person.
She gave special and emotional thanks and recognition to her twin sister Chris, who played both sports with her at Eastern. She credited Chris with challenging her as a player and in taking on the other roles on the team. The current student-athletes chuckled when she stated, "Assist wasn't even in my vocabulary."
