Eastern University Athletics

Beth Sellers Helsby was inducted into Eastern's Hall of Honor in April of 2012. She was introduced by her husband who acknowledged that he was her biggest fan.

She was a two-sport star in her time at Eastern. She is being inducted for her accomplishments in Field Hockey. She held goal-scoring records for career, season, and single game when she graduated. She was selected as the NCCAA Offensive Player of the Year in 1989 and as the NCCAA Tournament Best Offensive Player in in 1990.

Eastern's 1987 Field Hockey squad finished with a stellar 23-1-1 mark.

She was also a standout in softball. In 1991, Helsby was named Eastern's  Female Athlete of the Year.
