SELINSGROVE, Pa. - In its final event before the MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships,
Michael Shea and
Andre Taylor shined again as Eastern Men's Track and Field recorded five more top-five finishes at the Susquehanna Tune-Up on Friday.
Shea collected his fifth top-five finish in the 60-Meter Hurdles, clocking in at 8.85, which was good for second place. Taylor continued his strong indoor season, placing first in both the Triple Jump (13.28 m) and Long Jump (6.41 m).
DaNeal Williams recorded his first top-five placement of the season, finishing fourth in the 400 meter, while the team of Williams, Shea,
Solomon Rios, and
Jake Krah rounded out the day by placing third in the Men's 4x400 Meter race (3:41.16).
"We did what we needed to do today," Eastern Head Coach
Will Mills said. "We showed up where we needed to and now we need to take this energy into the conference championship next week."
Eastern will travel to Reading next weekend to compete in the MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday.
