Three Earn Track and Field All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Division III All-Region Honors for the 2025 Outdoor Track and Field season. Based on their performances over the season, three Eastern University student-athletes earned All-Metro Region Honors.

With a program-record 10.56 second effort at the 2025 Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, NI'Male Greenwood secured All-Region Honors in the 100 Meter Dash. The MAC Champion in the event also earned All-Metro Region Honors in the 60 Meter Dash indoors. At this year's Nesties, the sophomore sprinter was named Eastern's 2024-25 Male Athlete of the Year. He holds outdoor program records in the 100 Meter Dash, 200 Mete Dash, 400 Meters Dash and as part of Eastern's 4 x 100 Meter Relay. He also holds indoor records in the 60 Meter Dash and the 200 Meter Dash and the 4 x 200 Meter relay.

At the MAC Championships Savana Dodd set a new program standard and earned All-Region recognition for a 12.89 Meter toss in the Shot Put. Dodd leads an Eastern throwing group that has made huge strides int he last two years. She holds program records in the Shot Put, Discus, and Hammer. She earned All-Metro Region honors inside in the Weight Throw.

As she did inside, Hailey Shreffler claimed All-region Honors in three events outdoors. She earned recognition for her performance in the 800 Meter Run, the 1500 Meter Run, and the 5,000 Meter Run. This spring, the senior set new program records in all three events. Her 1500 time was the fastest mark in the Metro Region.

The 2025 Track Athlete of the Year at MAC Championships won both the 1500 Meters and the 800 Meters while running on a sliver medal 4 x 800 Meter Relay team and a bronze medal 4 x 400 Meter Relay group. After setting two individual program records inside, Shreffler ran a 5,00 Meter race early in the outdoor season before turning her attention toward middle-distance running.

Shreffler ran a career best 2:09.87 800 Meters at the Widener Last Chance meet to earn a spot in this weekend's National Championships at Spire Institute in Geneva Ohio. Shreffler will race in the second heat of the 800 Meters on Friday afternoon to try to become the second Eastern runner to Earn All-America honors outside. m ary Bernotas earned Al-America Honors in the Steeplechase in 2021.

At the Nesties, Shreffler was named the 2024-25 Eastern Universiity Female Athlete of the Year.

All-Region Honors are announced based on performance in a given season. To garner All-region Honors in an event, an individual or relay has to post one of the five best top marks in a region. In addition to being first in the 1500, Shreffler posted the second-best 800 Meter time, the fourth-best 5,000 Meter time. The 4 x 400 Meter relay squad that ran at MAC Championships finished just outside the threshhold in seventh. Because the 4 x 800 is not run at the NAtional Meet, there is not an All-Region Team for that event.
