YORK, Pa. - Eastern Men's Track and Field put the finishing touches on a tremendous outdoor season with a stout finish at the 2025 MAC Championships on Saturday afternoon. Lewis's effort puts him in the top 30 nationally. He finished second behind an incredible effort from Widner sophomore Matayo McGraw who became one of two Division III jumpers to clear 50 feet this season.

Robert Walton claimed his second medal of the weekend with a strong effort in the 800 Meter Run. Running his third 800 Meter race of the weekend, Walton ran an impressive 1:54.01,  just off his outdoor PR set at Hopkins two weeks ago. With the medal he earned Third Team All-MAC Commonwealth honors in a second event.

Following a season where he set the record in the 110m Hurdles, Ian Hopkins capped off his fantastic rookie campaign with a Third-Team All-MAC selection in the event on Saturday. He broke his own program mark on back-to-back days, and now sits firmly at the top of the leaderboard with a time of 14.66. Over the course of the weekend, the Eagles medaled in five total events.

Greenwood, James Ugorji, Jason Bateman, and Austin Boddie became the first Eastern group to go sub-42, but they wound up as the odd team out in a three-team photo-finish for the final two medal spots.

In his third race of the weekend, Ryle Mellinger finished sixth in the 1500 Meters with a very 4:01.27, that time is just off the 3:59.98 he ran at Hopkins two weeks ago with a much lighter competition load.

The Eagles scored of 65 team points to finish sixth overall. The men grabbed points in sprints, hurdles, relays, jumps, and throws.

"I am proud of the hard work everyone put in over these past three days," Eastern Head Coach Will Mills said. "We had numerous PRs, many placing higher in their events than previously ranked, and we performed better than the Pre-Championship coaches poll. I am happy about the growth we experienced this year. We set some good groundwork for next year."

The Eagles, in total, across both teams, medaled in six events. They scored in every event group, and finished with 24 podium appearances, three conference champions, a conference meet record, and 10 new school records.
