Meehan Earns Academic All-MAC Honors

NEWTOWN, Pa.— TheMiddle Atlantic Conference Office today released the first Academic All-MAC lists for 2025 Spring Sports. For his excellent work in the classroom and on the field, Eastern University junior Luke Meehan earned a spot on the prestigious Academic All-MAC Baseball squad.

The computer science major from Allentown, Pa. was one of 12 players from the 16 MAC Baseball programs to be honored.

Meehan earned All-Region Honors as an outfielder, but he also spent time at first base. The junior played all three outfield spots and pounded out 62 hits to lead an Eastern offense that scored over seven runs per game. He knocked in a team-best 35 runs in 35 games. He led the Eagles with 89 total bases.

Student-Athletes need at least a 3.2 semester GPA to be nominated for Academic All-MAC recognition. The 12 honorees on the 2025 Academic All-MAC squad claimed 11 spots on All-Region Teams and had a 3.83 average GPA. All 12 players earned All-Conference recognition in either the MAC Freedom or MAC Commonwealth. The team was selected by votes from Sports Information Directors from the MAC. The full team can be seen at www.gomacsports.com.

Meehan is the first Eastern player to earn a spot on the list since Tim Gorton and Angelo Kelly both earned nods in 2017.

With its field undergoing a complete renovation, Eastern Baseball played all 40 games away from home in the 2025 season. The new artificial turf field with new dugouts, seating, bullpen areas, fencing, and video board is nearing completion and will be ready for fall practice.
