Meehan Named to ABCA/ Rawlings All-Region Team

GREENSBORO, N.C.— The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) released the NCAA Division III 2025 ABCA/ Rawlings All-Region Teams and Regional Players of the Year honors for this past season. Following an outstanding season at the plate and in the field, Luke Meehan earned a spot on the All-Region 5 Second Team as an outfielder.

In response to injuries and match-ups, Meehan split time between the outfield and first base for the Eagles. At the plate, Meehan led the Eagles with 62 hits. Nineteen of those hits went for extra bases, and he finished with 89 total base. He drove in a team-best 35 runs with an OPS over 1.000. The slugger from Allentown struck out only 11 times in 175 plate appearances. He also stole eight bases.

Even while playing four positions, Meehan recorded a .989 fielding percentage. He committed only two errors in 183 chances.

Meehan is the fourth Eagle to earn All-Region Honors from the ABCA. Eric Rossi earned first-team honors as a catcher in 2013. Angelo Kelly claimed third-team honors when he banged out a program-record 66 hits and scored 44 runs in 2016. The following year, Timmy Gorton had 58 hits and and 44 RBIs to earn third-team honors as a catcher.

With reconstruction of their home field extending through the season, Eastern Baseball played all 40 of its games away from campus.
