PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - At the end of last week, the Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors Association released its Academic All-Area Women's Track and Field team for the 2024-2025 season. Following a historic end to an outstanding career, Eastern senior Hailey Shreffler earned a spot on the prestigious list.

Shreffler, who recently graduated with a degree in Biochemistry, capped off her collegiate career with incredible seasons both inside and out. She earned Second-Team All-America Honors in the 800m Run at the 2025 NCAAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 23, which came on the heels of being named the MAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year back earlier in the month.

At York, the Nesquehoning native earned a pair of gold medals in the 1500 and 800 Meter Run, setting the program record (4:32.63) in the former. She also earned Third-Team honors in the 4x800m Relay. During the indoor season, Shreffler earned three more medals at the Indoor Championships, winning the MAC Championship in the 800 and earning Second-Team honors in both the Mile Run and DMR. Shreffler also earned eight All-Region honors in both cross country and track and field, along with a SecondTeam All-MAC Honor in Cross Country.

Ten student-athletes from eight different schools were named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Men's Lacrosse team for the combination of their academic achievement and athletic accomplishments during the season. In order to be eligible, an athlete must be in his or her second year at the institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better. Shreffler was joined on the team by athletes from Haverford, Rowan, Temple, West Chester, Holy Family, Widener, and Villanova. Rowan's Molly Lodge was selected as the Performer of the Year.
