READING, Pa.— Eastern University Women's Track and Field grabbed three more medals on the second day of competition at the 2026 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Savanah Dodd threw grabbed a silver medal with a program-record 13.42 meter toss in the Shot Put. With that throw she becomes the first Eastern woman to break 44 feet and puts her in the top-25 for the event nationally. It is the seventh time this winter that Dodd has broken the program-mark for the Shot.
In the 60 Meter Hurdle finals
De'Nair Drew ran a clean race for a personal-best 9.33 and a silver medal. Her time is the second-best mark in Eastern history and is less than a tenth of a second off the pace Nicole Weenink set at the 2020 MAC Championships.
Janitza Hernandez-Albino backed up her bronze medal performance in the Long Jump with a personal-best 2704 and a bronze medal in the Pentathlon. She went into the 800 Meters with a good hold on third and ran a strategic race to hold her position.
Eastern picked up three points with a sixth-place finish in the 4x 800 Meter Relay. Maya Cadena,
Helena Stoffel,
Gisella Croge, and
Talia Fogel all ran to secure a spot on the podium.
The Eagles finsihed with 42 points in ninth place overall.
