Three Earn Medals on Day Two for Women

READING, Pa.— Eastern University Women's Track and Field grabbed three more medals on the second day of competition at the 2026 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Savanah Dodd threw grabbed a silver medal with a program-record 13.42 meter toss in the Shot Put. With that throw she becomes the first Eastern woman to break 44 feet and puts her in the top-25 for the event nationally. It is the seventh time this winter that Dodd has broken the program-mark for the Shot.

In the 60 Meter Hurdle finals De'Nair Drew ran a clean race for a personal-best 9.33 and a silver medal. Her time is the second-best mark in Eastern history and is less than a tenth of a second off the pace Nicole Weenink set at the 2020 MAC Championships.

Janitza Hernandez-Albino backed up her bronze medal performance in the Long Jump with a personal-best 2704 and a bronze medal in the Pentathlon. She went into the 800 Meters with a good hold on third and ran a strategic race to hold her position.

Eastern picked up three points with a sixth-place finish in the 4x 800 Meter Relay. Maya Cadena, Helena Stoffel, Gisella Croge, and Talia Fogel all ran to secure a spot on the podium.

The Eagles finsihed with 42 points in ninth place overall.
