GRANTHAM, Pa. - Junior
Savana Dodd claimed another medal in the Shot Put and Eastern Women's Track and Field collected five other top eight finishes to conclude the 2026 MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Messiah. The Eagles finished in 11th place with a team score of 31 points.
Dodd, after claiming Third-Team All-MAC honors in the Discus and an eighth place finish in the Hammer on Thursday and Friday, Dodd claimed Second-Team All-MAC honors in the Shot Put. Dodd, on her third throw of the day, recorded a throw just 13.33m, just under her PR. For her junior season, Dodd finished with four medals, which included her silver and bronze medals in the Shot Put and Weight Throws at Indoor MACs back in late February.
On the track, the Eagles claimed four more top-eight finishes. In the 4x100m Relay, the team of
Aniya Stevens,
Desirae Majett,
Tyla Cooper, and
Anahrie Anderson placed eighth with a time of 50.56, the fourth fastest time in program history. Anderson also broke her own school record in the 400 Meter Hurdles, placing fifth with a time of 1:05.94.
Janitza Hernandez-Albino, coming off a Third-Team All-MAC and school record finish in the Hepthalon, earned another point for Eastern in the Triple Jump with an eighth place finish. Hernandez-Albino jumped 10.73m on her second jump of the day. The junior finished her track season with three medals, which included a pair of Third-Team All-MAC finishes in the Penthalon and Long Jump at Indoor MACs.
Stevens and
Gisella Croge each earned two points for Eastern in the 100 and 800 Meters. Stevens placed seventh in the 100 Meters with a time of 13.20. Croge placed seventh in the 800 Meters with a time of 2:26.42.
Over the course of the weekend, Eastern finished with three medals and nine podium finishes.
