GRANTHAM, Pa. - Eastern Women's Track and Field claimed a pair of All-MAC medals and had three individuals, together with one relay team, qualify for the finals after the first two days of the 2026 MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday. After two days of competition, the Eagles sit in 10th place with a total of 13 points.
Savana Dodd and
Janitza Hernandez-Albino each came away with All-MAC Third Team honors. After claiming a point with an eighth-place finish in the Hammer on Thursday, Dodd took third place in the Discus with a throw of 36.63m. In her junior season, Dodd has earned three Third-Team All-MAC honors. She won a pair of bronze medals in the Shot Put and Weight Throw at the Indoor MAC Championships.
Hernandez-Albino also claimed her first Third-Team All-MAC honor of the outdoor season, and her third overall this winter and spring. She finished third in the Hepthalon with a Eastern program record of 4,030 points. It broke Regie Robinson's long standing record of 3760 points, set back in 2019, and superceded her 3,629 points at the Messiah Multi and Invitational. Hernandez-Albino finished in at least third place in five of the seven events. She placed second in the Long Jump (5.03m), third in the 200m (27.37), third in the Javelin (30.35m), third in the High Jump (1.49m), and third in the 100m Hurdles (16.46).
Eastern also qualified for the finals in the 100 Meters, 800 Meters, and 400 Meter Hurdles.
Aniya Stevens advanced to the 100 Meter final with a qualifying time of 12.73.
Gisella Croge punched her ticket to the 800 Meter final with a time of 2:21.76. Finally,
Anahrie Anderson qualified for the 400 Meter final with a time of 1:08.17.
Eastern will conclude the 2026 MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships tomorrow. Field events begin at 11 am and track events will begin at 12 noon.
