UNIVERSITY PARK AND HAVERFORD, Pa. - In its final tune-up before the MAC Indoor Championships, Eastern Women's Track and Field competed at both the Penn State Tune-Up and the Keogh Invitational on Friday.
Savana Dodd broke her Shot Putt record for the fifth time in six events.
Dodd, who hit 12.75m last weekend at Penn, threw over 13 meters for the first time in her college career on her fourth and fifth throw at Penn State. Her fifth went 13.33 meters, reestablishing a new program mark. Dodd finished fifth in the event. Dodd also placed fifth in the Weight Throw with a throw of 15.35.
First-year
Ashley Bitler had a strong run in the 3000m, finishing eighth with a time of 10:56.02. That is good for eighth all-time in the event.
At the Keogh Invitational at Haverford, first-year
Aniya Stevens moved into seventh in program history in the 200m with a time of 27.55, while
Madison Bunnell and
Tyla Cooper each recorded PR's in the Long Jump. Bunnell placed third at 4.99, and while Cooper finished in fifth at 4.95m.
In the 4x200 relay, the team of
De'Nair Drew, Stevens,
Zion Greene, and
Anahrie Anderson placed second with a time of 1:50.14, the sixth best time in program history.
The Eagles will be back in action in Reading next weekend for the 2026 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
