NEWTOWN, Pa.— The Middle Atlantic Conference Office today announced all-league lists and special awards for the 2025 Women's Soccer season. MAC Commonwealth coaches selected three Eastern University players for recognition.
Paige Snell and
Tia Argento claimed spots on the first team and
Emma Bennett earned second-team honors.
Snell and Argento collect their first All-MAC Commonwealth honors. Bennett claimed second-team recognition in 2023 and received Honorable Mention last year.
Snell played a critical role in the back side of the Eastern midfield. After battling through injuries for her first three seasons, the senior from Havertown started all 19 games for the 9-5-5 Eagles. Her ability to win tackles and aerial duels took pressure off the Eastern back row and gave the Eagles chances going forward. Only two teams in the league scored against the Eagles. For the year, Eastern only conceded multiple goals in a match three times.
After moving through different positions over a pair of injury-riddled seasons to start her career, Argento stepped into the middle of the back row and led an Eastern defense that allowed only 14 goals all season. Even dealing with some injury this year, the junior from Bayville, N.J. started 17 matches and played in18 and logged over 1400 minutes. Her ability to read the play and time challenges proved useful in Eastern's two home draws against NCAA Tournament Teams Penn State Harrisburg and Misericordia. Throughout the year, her ability to distribute over distance helped the Eagles to transition into the attack.
Bennett, a senior from Thornedale, Pa., finished the season with five goals and three assists. The Eastern attack relied on her to take on defenders and deliver quality final passes from the wing or the midfield. Many of Eastern's restart chances came as a direct result of a dribbling run where she would earn a free kick or corner. Bennett finishes her career with 10 goals and 11 assists.
This fall, Eastern Women's Soccer reached the MAC Commonwealth Tournament for a third-consecutive season and posted 12 shutouts. Five of those shutouts came in the MAC Commonwealth regular season.
