READING, Pa. - On Saturday, Eastern Men's Track and Field competed well at the Alvernia Invitational, collecting three top-five finishes in three different events. 

Senior Michael Shea and sophomore Andre Taylor put together strong performances in Eastern's second meet of the season. Shea recorded a fourth-place finish in the 60 Meter Hurdles (8.78), while Taylor earned fourth-place honors in both the Long Jump (6.42 m) and the Triple Jump (12.89 m). 

"We battled today. I saw toughness, grit, and determination from each and every one that competed. We gave our best effort and it showed. It's truly exciting to see our growth each and every week." 

Eastern will be back in action on Saturday, February 5, traveling to Ursinus to take part in the Frank Colden Invitational. Events begin at 9:30 am.
