NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference Office today released its Academic All-MAC Baseball team for the 2026 season. In a season full of accolades, outfielder
Trent MacDougall earned another on Monday, claiming a spot on the prestigious squad for the first time in his career. The junior from Boynton Beach, Fla. was one of 12 players from the 16 MAC Baseball programs to be honored.
Starting all 40 games in center field, MacDougall, a Business Administration major, had a career spring, helping the Eagles earn 26 wins, their most in a single season. He scored a program record 48 runs and, along with teammate
Thomas Kozlusky, broke the stolen bases record with 30 swipes on 32 attempts. He hit a team-high six home runs and also led the team with 53 hits and 12 doubles. His 1.174 OPS was the fourth highest in a single season in program history.
Academic All-MAC teams are selected by vote for performance in the classroom and in competition from nominees of all 16 MAC Institutions. Individuals have to earn at least a 3.2 semester GPA to be nominated. MacDougall was named to the distinguished Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Baseball team back in late June.
MacDougall earned spots on the All-Region 5 Second Team and the All-MAC Commonwealth First Team. He was also named the Co-Defensive Player of the Year in the league, converting all 95 of his chances without committing an error. He is the fourth Eagle since 2017, joining Timmy Gorton, Angelo Kelly, and teammate
Luke Meehan to earn a spot on the Academic All-MAC team.
