LANCASTER, Pa. - On Saturday, Eastern Women's Track and Field competed at the Mini Dip Invitational at Franklin & Marshall. De'Nair Drew moved up in the program rankings in the 200m, Savana Dodd recorded a pair of top-two finishes in the Shot Put and Weight Throw, and the Eagles had eight other top-eight finishes.
De'Nair Drew placed fourth in the 200m at 27.36 eighth in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 9.81m. Her 200m time was good for fifth in program history. First-year Zion Greene joined Drew in the top-10, placing 5th with a time of 27.55. That is good for seventh in program history.
Dodd placed second in the Shot Put at 12.50m, 0.01 meters off her record she set last week. She also placed second in the Weight Throw with a throw of 15.52m.
Gisella Croge placed third in the rarely run 600m at 1:42.37, and also placed fifth in the 400m with a time of 1:05.23. Ashley Bitler set a new PR in the 3000m with a third place finish and a time of 11:16.39. Tyla Cooper placed fifth in the Long Jump with a season-best time of 4.80m, and Janitza Hernandez-Albino went eighth in the High Jump at 1.40m.
Eastern will be back in action next weekend at the Widener Indoor Classic.
