LANCASTER, Pa. - Junior
Savana Dodd broke her record in the Shot Put in her third consecutive meet, and a pair of Eagles moved up in the top-10 in their respective as Eastern Women's Track and Field competed in the Coach I Invitational at F&M on Saturday.
Since her freshman year, Dodd has owned the record book in both the Shot Put and Weight Throw, and that trend continued on Saturday. After throwing 12.21 meters at Alvernia last weekend, threw 12.23m and finished in third place on Saturday. She has reset the record in every event so far for Eastern during the indoor season. Dodd also finished third in the Weight Throw with a toss of 14.92m.
First-year
Aniya Stevens ran a second consecutive PR in the 60m, crossing the finish line in 8.28. That time is good for fourth in program history under
Taylor Bynum-Bain, Courtney Moyer, and Nicole Weenink. Sophomore Janitza-Hernandez-Albino also moved up to fourth in program history in the Long Jump, finishing sixth with a distance of 5.07m. That was her best jump since the 2024 MAC Indoor Championships.
In the 60m Hurdles, junior
De'Nair Drew ran a career-best time of 10.14, solidifying her hold on eighth place in the top-10 rankings in the event.
Eastern will be back in action next weekend at the Widener Evening Invitational hosted by Penn.
