NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference Today announced weekly honors for the week ending Oct. 19, 2025. Senior punter John Westfield proved crucial in the field position battle and played a key role in Eastern's 17-10 win over Albright on Saturday.

The Philadelphia native punted four times on Saturday, compiling 180 yards and averaging 45 yard per kick. He launched a 62-yard punt in the first quarter, pinning the Lions deep in their own territory. Later in the second quarter, he nailed a 41-yard punt that was downed at the Albright 1-yard line. The Lions went three-and-out following both punts.

For Westfield, it is his first MAC Special Teams POTW honor, the second straight Special Teams accolade for Eastern Football, and the fifth weekly award for the program this fall.

Eastern (5-1, 4-1) travels to Dallas on Saturday for a critical MAC showdown with Misericordia. Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm.
