College Sports Communicators, the official organization of collegiate sports information professionals announced its Academic All-District lists for the fall season. Eastern's MAC Champion Football squad had five individuals recognized as Academic All-District performers. Brett Nabb, Justin Nikolopoulos, Cole Jones, Chris Rivera, and John Nolek were all honored with spots on the squad. Nabb, the MAC Offensive Player of the Year, is a repeat selection to the team.

To be considered,individuals must play in 90 percent of a team's game or start in 67 percent and carry a cumulative grade point average over a 3.5 through at least two semesters of work at the player's current institution. 

Nabb a quarterback pursuing a MBA in Organizational Leadership scored four times in Eastern's NCAA Tournament win at Franklin & Marshall College. He earned First-Team All-MAC Honors and was a D3football.com All-District performer. 

Nikolopolous, a wide receiver and Business Administration Major, was a top downfield threat for the Eagles passing game and always a threat while returning punts. The junior from Philadelphia had a 99-yard day receiving at King's and a 104-yard day at Widener.

Rivera excelled as a kick-returner on special teams and made several critical catches as a wide receiver. The junior math major from Raleigh earned All-MAC Honors as a returner. 

Jones, an Exercise Science major from York was a regular in Eastern's MAC-leading defense. The junior linebacker came up with a critical interception in Eastern's early-season win over Alvernia. 

Nolek, a kicker from Aston, Pa, earned All-MAC honors in his junior season. he made eight field goals and went 37-of-39 on extra points while pinning teams deep with strong kick-offs. He is studying Marketing. 

In just its third varsity season, Eastern Football won ten games and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament. Those who earn Academic All-District recognition are eligible to be considered for Academic All-America Honors. The Academic All-America Team for Football will be revealed on Jan. 27.
