Three Earn MAC Commonwealth Men's Soccer Honors

NEWTOWN, Pa.– The Middle Atlantic Conference office today released all-conference lists and special awards for the 2023 men's soccer season. MAC Commonwealth coaches honored Zach Sievert, Osmond Chan, and Aidan Link.

Sievert earned a spot on the second team as a forward. The first-year from Jacksonville, Fla. stood at the center of the Eastern attack throughout the season. He led the Eagles with four goals and four assists and played a critical role in launching the counterpress and orchestrating forward movements. Sievert showed versatility in moving between forward an midfield positions throughout the season.

Chan earned a place as a second-team midifelder. A first-year from Hong Kong, Chan showed game savvy beyond his years as he won balls and distributed them with accuracy and distance. Like Sievert, he showed the ability to pressure the ball over extended runs on the filed and an ability to play in tight space. His timing and willingness to challenge for balls in the air helped to thwart many opposing opportunities.

Link, a graduate student from Perkasie, Pa.  received Honorable Mention as a midfielder. The Eastern captain scored goals against York and Widener and was a veteran presence for the Eagles. His goal against York stood as a game-winner, and his tally against Widener was the only Eastern goal in a 1-1 match.

The three honorees is the most by Eastern Men's Soccer since the program joined the MAC Commonwealth in 2021.
