WILKES-BARRE, Pa.– Eastern University Track and Field traveled with a limited squad to King's College with the hope of hitting some MAC Qualifying marks for the MAC Championship meet that begins this Thursday.
With the quick turnaround heading into championships the Eagles kept many of those who had already qualified back on campus to study for finals and rest. The Eagles hit qualifying marks in four events for the women and two events for the men.
Joelle Wash, who will compete as a Multi at MACs, hit open qualifying in the 100 Meter Hurdles and in the High jump with a 1.45 meter effort. The High Jump equaled a PR for her. Shani Hodges also qualified in the High Jump.
Emma Kircher posted a 4.76 meter long jump on her second attempt to earn a spot in next weeks Championships.

Malena Ricks both qualified in the 100 Meter Dash. Eastern has individual qualifiers in 15 events for the women.
King Henderson jumped 6.16 meters in the long jump for his best effort this year.
Jonathan Nixon cleared 1.85 meters to win the high jump. The Eastern Men have qualifiers in seven events for this coming event.
Next weeks championships begin at Widener on Thursday afternoon. With the number of competing athletes in limited space, there will not be spectators permitted at the event.
