Baseball Topped By Arcadia

GLENSIDE, Pa.--Eastern Baseball fell 4-1 at Arcadia University on Wednesday afternoon after struggling to register hits off Arcadia's starting pitcher.

Arcadia's David Behler tossed eight innings to pick up the win, allowing four hits and four walks while striking out 12 batters. The first three batters in the lineup recorded hits off Behler, but the No. 4 through 9 batters failed to do so.

Tyler Orr, batting in the two hole for Eastern for the second game in a row, went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk and the Eagles' lone RBI.

Eastern's Jordan Miller was tagged with the loss after giving up two runs in the third and another to start the fourth. Miller struck out two batters and allowed five hits. Ben Melendez threw a scoreless 1.2 innings and Greg Lukasik pitched the final three innings. Melendez and Lukasik each struck out three batters.

The Eagles went scoreless through the first seven innings and trailed 3-0 entering the top of the eighth. Andrew Check doubled to lead off the inning and Orr followed by swinging on the first pitch and hitting another double to score Check.

The Eagles begin a conference series with DeSales at 3:30 Thursday. The series concludes with a doubleheader on Monday at 1 p.m.
