Men's Tennis at Messiah for MAC Commonwealth Semifinals

With weather pushing the match back to Thursday, Eastern University Men's Tennis opens the MAC Commonwealth Tournament at Messiah University as the third seed. The Eagles, with close wins over York and Stevenson will play in the league semifinals for the first time since joining the league in 2020.

When Eastern and Messiah played in the regular-season finale last Thursday, the Falcons emerged with a 7-0 win to secure the home date.

Eastern led early in each of the three doubles match-ups, but the Falcons flipped the script on all three to secure the doubles point and momentum in the match.

Eastern played in a MAC Commonewealth quarterfinal in 2021 when the league seeded out all teams. With Covid still impacting schedules in all sports, the MAC elected to start the tournaments with quarterfinals.

The winner of Thursday's semifinal will take on the winner of the match between Albright and Stevenson. With a roster full of internationals, top-seeded Albright has dropped only a single match in and unbeaten run through the conference.

The winner of the MAC Commonwealth Tournament earns a bid to the NCAA Division III Championships.
