NEWTOWN, Pa. — The Middle Atlantic Conference office released weekly honors for the week ending on  April 12. With a win and a save in a 2-0 week, Eastern Softball pitcher Emily Trzonkowski claimed her fourth MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week honor in the last four weeks. 

Trzonkowski ran her season record to 11-0 with a complete-game shutout in the Eastern's series opener at Alvernia last Saturday. The Golden Wolves managed only three singles off her.  Trzonkowski did not walk a hitter. She has walked only 19 hitters in 73 innings of work this season.

With a 5-4 win in the nightcap, Eastern clinched a spot in the MAC Commonwealth Tournament. With the Golden Wolves threatening, Trzonkowski came on to retire the final hitter to earn her first career save.

The Eagles play Gwynedd-Mercy in a non-league doubleheader tomorrow and will host league-leading Messiah for a doubleheader with seeding ramifications on Saturday.
