NEWTOWN, Pa. — The Middle Atlantic Conference Office today announced weekly awards for the week ending March 29. For the second-straight week, Eastern University's Emily Trzonkowski claimed MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week honors. 

The rookie right-hander from Middletown, Del. earned two more wins and allowed only eight hits and two earned runs over 13 innings. Trzonkowski earned the win over No. 16 Rowan with a very effective seven-inning performance. She held the Profs to two runs and six hits over seven innings. 

Trzonkowski dealt with way less traffic on the bases in her run-shortened win over Albright on Sunday. She struck out ten Lions and did not allow a ball out of the infield in throwing a one-hit shutout. She faced only 16 hitters in the game. She returned to the circle for a clean inning in the nightcap. 

The Eagles will play at Immaculata today and host the Stevenson Mustangs in a league doubleheader on Thursday.
