NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference today released Weekly Honors for the week ending March 15. On the heels of a three home run week, designated hitter
Matt McSorley earned his first MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week honor.
McSorley, a first-year right hander from Woolwich, N.J., hit home runs in three straight games against Neumann and York this past week. He became the first Eagle to record home runs in consecutive games since Griffin Falco back in 2023. McSorley finished the week with five hits, six runs scored, and seven RBIs.
He began the week with a three-run home run against Neumann to clinch a 17-5 win over the Knights. In the doubleheader series with York on Saturday, McSorley hit a pair of two-run home runs, one coming in Eastern's 7-1 win over the Spartans. McSorley now leads the Eagles with four home runs and is second on the team with 16 RBIs.
Eastern (11-5, 1-2) will be back in action against Muhlenberg on Wednesday.
