NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference today released weekly awards for the week ending Feb. 22, 2026. Following another historic performance in the 60m Hurdles on Saturday, Eastern sophomore
Ian Hopkins earned his second MAC Track Athlete of the Week honor.
The Fanwood, N.J. native set a new program record in the 60m Hurdles at the Keogh Invitational, crossing the finish line in 8.22 seconds. His time ranks first in the MAC, sixth in the Metro Region, and 28th across all of NCAA DIII Indoor Track and Field.
He becomes the first Men's Track and Field athlete since Evan Wildemuth to earn multiple Athlete of the Week accolades.
Eastern will be back in action this coming weekend for the 2026 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
