ST. DAVIDS, Pa.— Head Men's Basketball Head Coach
Dan Pruessner today announced the
Nick Battle has joined the Eastern staff as a full-time assistant. The South Jersey native joins the program after two years as a Division I assistant at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
While working with the Knights, Battle had responsibilities in scouting, film breakdown, recruiting in Pennsylvania and Ohio, and player development. While at FDU, he worked with a player who earned First Team All-NEC, All-Rookie Team, and First Team All-Defense honors. He served as the Director of Basketball Operations where he organized travel, itineraries, film, camps, and on-court development with a focus on rebounding.
Before his time in Teaneck, Battle coached at The Skill Factory High School Prep in Atlanta. This nationally-ranked program produced multiple Division I and II scholarship athletes.
He also had stints as a high school coach at Gloucester County Institute of Technology and at Cherokee High School. He guided an Outside The Perimeter AAU team to a Bama Jam championship while helping more than 10 players earn college scholarships.
"Throughout the interview process," Pruessner noted. "I felt we shared a vision for what Eastern Basketball can be and that he will have good things to add to our program. His experience in player development at the Division I level will be an asset as we seek to compete with the top teams in Division III."
Battle will be involved in all aspects of the Men's Basketball program. He joins the Eastern staff after Kyle Stramara secured the Head Coaching postion at Immaculata University.
