NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference office today released All-Conference lists and special awards for the 2024-25 Men's Basketball season. League coaches honored Eastern's
Zubair Lee with a spot on the MAC Commonwealth Second Team. The junior forward from Voorhees, N.J., led the MAC Commonwealth in rebounding with 10.2 per game.
It is the third time Lee has been honored the league. He was the MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year in 2022-23 and was a First-Team Honoree and Defensive Player of the Year in 2023-24.
In 24 games, Lee posted a league-best12 double-doubles. He was third in the MAC Commonwealth in scoring with a 17.4 ppg average. He has 32 career double-doubles.
On his best days, Lee was dominant on the glass and getting to the foul line while attacking the rim. He shot 12 free throws in his 28 point season-opening performance in a win at Roanoke. He finished the year with 182 attempts from the foul line and he took eight or more foul shots in 11 games.
Almost exactly a third of his 245 rebounds came on the offensive glass.
In the closing five-game stretch of the season, Lee averaged 20.2 points and 10.8 rebounds while shooting 54 percent from the floor and 73 percent from the foul line. The Eagles picked up wins in three of those games.
Lee recorded a career-high 33 points in an early-season loss to Stockton University, and grabbed a career-high 24 rebounds in a win at Arcadia.
York forward Kai Cipalla was named Player of the Year and Albright forward Phanique Dupree was honored as the MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year.
