HAVERFORD, Pa. - Eastern Women's Track and Field put together another strong performance on Saturday in its final tuneup before the 2025 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Keogh Invitational hosted by Haverford College.
Savana Dodd continued her tremendous sophomore season, breaking her own record in the Shot Put, and 11 Eagles recorded top-eight finishes.
Already holding the indoor record in both the Shot Put and the Weight Throw, Dodd finished in second place and set a new school record with a distance of 11.98m. The throw is a 0.16 PR from her previous best throw. Dodd also won the weight record, throwing over 15 meters for the third consecutive weekend. The sophomore recorded a throw of 15.55m.
First-years
Am'yra Johnson and
Desirae Majett finished 7-8 in the 60m with times of 8.44, and Johnson also placed fifth in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 9.86.
Anahrie Anderson placed second in the 400m with a time of 1:02.13.
In the Mile,
Julia Wade qualified for the MAC Championships with a second-place finish and a time of 5:39.90, while
Gisella Croge finished seventh in the 800m at 2:26.53.
Kayleigh Newsome took home fifth place in the 3000m with a time of 12:08.12, and
Destiny Barlow recorded a sixth place finish in the Triple Jump at 9.45m.
Senior
Hailey Shreffler, who competed at the Penn State Tune Up, placed fourth in the 800m with a time of 2:15.46.
Eastern will be back in action next weekend for the 2025 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
