PHILADELPHIA AND SELNSGROVE, Pa. -
Hailey Shreffler set a new program record in the 800 Meter as Eastern Women's Track and Field competed in a pair of meets on Saturday. Shreffler continued her tremendous senior season, and three other Eagles recorded top-eight finishes.
Shreffler finished fourth in the 800 Meter at the Widener Indoor Classic with a time of 2:15.21. That time breaks the mark long held by Katelyn Bernotas, who ran a 2:16.59 in the event back on January 31, 2020. Additionally, it is the 27th best time in all of Division III Indoor Track and Field this season.
Savana Dodd finished second in the Weight Throw at 15.26m, the second straight week she has recorded throw over 15 meters. The sophomore also placed fourth in the Shot Put at 11.51m.
Fellow sophomore
Anahrie Anderson placed eighth in the 400 at 1:03.14, while first-year
Am'yra Johnson placed eighth in the 60m Hurdles at 9.85. Both qualified for the MAC Championships, as did Dodd in both of her events.
Eastern will be back at Haverford next weekend for the Keogh Invitational.
