EWING, N.J. - Eastern Women's Wrestling had another excellent day of competition at TCNJ on Saturday with a pair of wins over York and Delaware Valley in dual competition. Eastern won over York, 29-16, and Delaware Valley, 32-11. The Eagles won every match they wrestled.
"Dual meets are great for team morale and culture," Eastern Head Coach
Andrew Taylor said after the meet concluded. "We set the tone today. Today continued to affirm the process for our girls and they competed in every position. We talk about development first, results seconds, so it was great to see the training habits translate to the competition. We're excited to get back to work Monday to clean things up and build on the foundation we've laid.
All seven competing wrestlers went 2-0 on the day. The Eagles went 14-0, with most wins coming by fall or technical fall.

Jesenia Camargo (7-2) won by fall over York's Mackenzie Smith in her first match. She picked up her second win of the afternoon on a Delaware Valley forfeit.

Anaelis Morales (4-2) began her day with an impressive win by fall over York's Daisey Hawkins. Hawkins was a National Qualifier at 110 last season. She then, like Camargo, won her second match via a Delaware Valley forfeit.

Josey Wehr (6-2) won both of her matches by technical fall on Saturday. She picked up wins over York's Grace Woodring and Delaware Valley's Taylor Mazzoni.

Savannah Witt (8-0) remained undefeated after Eastern's first two meets. She started the day with a victory by technical fall over York's Barbara Hartman. Later, she collected her eighth win of the young season with a pin of Delaware Valley's Izzy LaPerry.

Paige Jackson (6-2) wrestled in the 138 weight class on Saturday and picked up two more wins. She recorded a technical fall win over York's Jada Stoneberg, before a major decision victory over Delaware Valley's Alex Graffius.

Zoey Haines (7-1) wrestled in the 145 weight class on Saturday. She earned an impressive technical fall triumph over York's Maura White, a two-time National Qualifier, to begin the day. She picked up another technical fall victory over Delaware Valley's Katie Martin.

Olivia Kinder (6-2) started her afternoon with a win by points over York's Kylie Monroe, who was a National Qualifier at 160. She earned her second win of the day in 34 seconds with a pin of Delaware Valley's Riley Petrie.
Eastern wrestlers are 39-11 after their first two meets in program history. The Eagles are back in action next Sunday at the Wilkes Open.
