NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference office today released weekly awards for the week ending Oct. 5, 2025. Junior goalkeeper Faith Leake earned her first MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week honor after making 13 saves in a pair of shutouts last week.

The Philadelphia native stood tall against relentless pressure on Tuesday, making 10 saves against No. 11 Misericordia in a 0-0 draw. On Saturday, Leake made three more saves as the Eagles won 2-0 over Hood to open conference play.

Leake currently ranks second in the MAC Commonwealth with a .929 save percentage and a .308 goals against average. She is the second Eagle to earn a Conference Player of the Week accolade this fall along with Emma Bennett.

Eastern (7-1-3) will return to action tonight in a non-conference matchup against Stockton. The contest is set to begin at 6:00 pm.
