ABINGTON, Pa. - Eastern Men's Tennis earned its second win of the season on Saturday with a 6-1 road win over Penn State Abington. The Eagles recorded win in all but No. 6 singles.
Jeffery Day and
Jared Groff began the afternoon with a 6-0 win over Mark Tymchenko and Vlad Borodaykeych, before
Peter Folga and Steven Dottoli clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles.
Tiger Winston and
Elite Lim also recorded the victory at No. 3 doubles, 6-3.Â
The Eagles won at all top five singles spots. Day won over Krishra Gurram 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Dottoli won at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-4, while Folga lost just one game at No. 3 singles in a 6-0, 6-1 triumph, clinching the win for Eastern. Groff also earned a win in singles play, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4, and first-year
Toby Sallee won at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-2.Â

Harrison Bitzberger said. "We battled through some tight matches and stayed consistent when it mattered the most."Â
Eastern will wrap up its fall schedule with a home match against Cairn on Oct. 25. First serve is set for 12:00 noon.Â
