NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference today released weekly awards for the week ending Oct. 26, 2025. Graduate quarterback
Brett Nabb and junior linebacker
Jason Bateman delivered standout performances in Eastern Football's critical 28-21 win over Misericordia on Saturday.
Nabb, who hails from Avalon, N.J., totaled 285 yards of offense in the victory. He completed all 13 of his passes for 156 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 129 yards and a score on 23 carries. The dual-threat quarterback has scored 12 touchdowns in his graduate season, six on the ground and another six through the air.
Bateman, an Upper Darby product, led the Eastern defense in what was his best game of the season. The junior led the Eagles with 12 tackles, seven of which were solo, two tackles for loss, a pair of forced fumbles, and a sack. His strip-sack of Misericordia quarterback Jacob Hunter on the Cougars' final offensive play sealed the deal for the Eagles and moved them atop the MAC standings.
For the Eagles, it is the first time that multiple players have been selected as Players of the Week. Nabb claimed his second of the fall, while Bateman earned the first weekly accolade of his career.
Eastern (6-1, 5-1) will be back on the road on Saturday, making a quick trek down the Blue Route to face off against the Widener Pride. Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm.
