Women's Volleyball Sweeps Weekly Awards for Third Time

NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference Today announced weekly honors for the week ending Oct. 19, 2025. For the third time this fall, Eastern Women's Volleyball swept the weekly awards as Hannah Pringle and Viviana Fragoso were named the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.

Pringle, who hails from East Greenville, powered the Eastern offense in three consecutive sweeps this past week. The senior outside hitter totaled 37 kills in wins over Hood, Cedar, and St. Mary's, hitting a robust .480 and committing just one hitting error. She finished with eight kills against the Blazers, 14 against the Falcons, and 15 more against the Seahawks. Pringle now sits fifth all-time on Eastern's all-time kills list with 1,381 terminations.

Fragoso, a La Mirada, Calif. native, was equally as impressive on the defensive end. She anchored the Eastern defense in its three wins, totaling 47 digs, with 18 coming against both Hood and Cedar Crest. In Eastern's win over the Falcons on Saturday, Fragoso reached the 1,000 dig milestone.

For Pringle, it is her third Offensive Player of the Week honor this fall and the sixth of her career, while Fragoso earned her third Defensive Player of the Week accolade and fourth of her career.

Eastern (16-5, 3-1) travel to Grantham on Wednesday for a crucial MAC Commonwealth showdown with the Messiah Falcons. Opening serve is set for 7:00 pm.
