PHILADELPHIA— The Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors Association today announced its 2025 Academic All-Area Team for Women's Volleyball. For the second time in her career, Eastern University senior
Hannah Pringle earned a spot on the prestigious list.
A three-time Honorable Mention All-American, Pringle put together an outstanding senior season and was named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year. She lead the Eagles to a 23-8 mark and an appearance in the MAC Commonwealth Championship match. She posted career best numbers with 474 kills and a .284 hitting percentage. Her 4.27 kills per set led the MAC Commonwealth by a wide margin.
Late in the season, she became just the fourth Eastern player to post over 1500 career kills. Her 1545 kills puts her behind only Courtney Reinhold, who posted 2137 kills in 148 matches between 2008 and 2011, Kate Adams, who had 1797 over 135 matches from 2000-2003, and Emma Kline, who had 1547 kills in 142 matches from 2004-2007. Adams and Kline both played in an era when teams played to 30 points in each set.
Pringle accomplished all this while juggling the challenging lab and clinical schedules of a Nursing major. Even with the heavy time commitment required in both places, the East Greenville, Pa. managed to excel in both spaces. She joined outstanding student-athletes from Villanova, Swarthmore, Widener, Holy Family, and Gwynedd Mercy on this year's list.
Eastern Women's Volleyball has an established record of academic excellence to go along with success on the court. The Eagles had four players honored in 2024 and
Bridgette Kelly became the program's fourth Philly-SIDA All-Area Performer of the Year.
The team, voted on by the sports information offices of 30 institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area, was selected from nominated student-athletes from those same institutions. Nominees must be in at least their second year at their current institution and carry at least a 3.30 GPA. The seven individuals honored this year had an average GPA of 3.79. All seven earned all-conference honors with many earning regional and national honors as well.
Villanova junior Abby Harrell was selected at this year's Academic All-Area Performer of the Year.
