NEWTOWN, Pa.— The Middle Atlantic Conferecne Office today released its Acadmic All-MAC Women's Volleyball squad for the 2025 season. Eastern University Women's Volleyball put three players on the team. Hannah Pringle was named to the Academic All-MAC Team for the third time, and Alexis Standford and Viviana Fragoso each picked up their first Academic All-MAC honor.

Pringle, a senior nursing major, enjoyed her best season on the court. She led the entire MAC with 474 kills while hitting .284 and earning MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year Honors. She was selected to the ALL-MAC Commonwealth First Team and earned AVCA All-Region and All-America Honors. She finished her career fifth on Eastern's career kill list. 

Fragoso, a senior Social Work Major, also enjoyed a career year. She was honored as the First-Team All-MAC Comonwealth Libero and the league's Co-Defensive Player of the Year. She led the Eagles in both digs (507) and aces (63) while becoming just the fourth Eastern player to record a 500 dig season.

Standford, a junior Communications major, joined the Eagles this fall and made an immediate impact on offense. She finished second in the entire MAC with 348 kills and a 3.31 kills per set average. She also Earned FIrst-Team All-MAC Commonwealth Honors. 

Academic All MAC teams are selected by vote for performance in the classroom and in competition from nominees of all 16 MAC Institutions. While and individual has to hold at least a 3.2 semester GPA to be nominated, five of the  ten honorees had 4.0 semesters and the group average was nearly 3.8. All ten honorees earned first-team all-conference recognition in either the MAC Commonwealth or the MAC Freedom. 

Under the leadership of Head Coach Mark Birtwistle, Eastern has won nearly 900 matches, won 24 conference championships and been to 22 NCAA TOurnaments. The Eagles have reached a Final Four and two more Elite Eights. Since the MAC started recognizing an Academic All-MAC Team in 2013, the Eagles have had at least one individual represented every year. Twelve Eastern volleyball players have earned a total of 23 awards.
