NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference today announced weekly awards for the week ending Oct. 12, 2025. Junior kicker John Nolek was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals and 4-for-4 on PATs, playing a critical role in Eastern's 37-20 Homecoming win over Delaware Valley on Saturday.

The Aston native started his afternoon with a 33-yard field goal on Eastern's second drive, before tying his career-high with a 45-yard field goal as time expired in the first half to tie the contest at 13-13. That big make changed the course of the game as the Eagles outscored the Aggies 24-7 in the second half. Nolek added a 37-yard boot in Eastern's 17-point fourth quarter.

Nolek was equally as effective on kickoffs. He averaged 59.7 yards on seven kickoffs, consistently pinning the Aggies deep in their own territory. Delaware Valley's average field position was the 22-yard line. For Nolek, it is his first MAC Special Teams POTW accolade, and the fourth weekly award for Eastern Football this season.

Eastern (4-1, 3-1) returns home on Saturday for another critical MAC showdown against the upstart Albright Lions. Kickoff at Radnor Street Road is set for 1:00 pm.s
