Eastern University (3–1, 2–1 MAC) welcomes Delaware Valley University (2–2, 2–1 MAC) to Radnor Street Road on Saturday for a Homecoming contest. Both teams enter the weekend tied for fourth in the MAC. They sit just one game behind the unbeaten trio of Stevenson, Lebanon Valley, and Misericordia (all 3–0). With the midpoint of the season approaching, the winner will remain firmly in the conference title chase.
Delaware Valley has long been one of the league's standard-bearers. The Aggies won six consecutive MAC titles without dropping a game from 2017–2022 and were picked as league co-favorites coming into the year. Eastern has made rapid strides in just its third varsity season and is looking to continue its climb toward the top of the MAC.
Eastern enters off a thrilling 39–37 win at King's. The Eagles posted a program-record 600 yards of total offense and preserved the win with a key stop on a late 2-point conversion effort, The Eagles continue to rank among the league's most dangerous rushing teams, averaging nearly 300 yards per game on the ground.
Jeremiah Avrilien has rushed for 543 yards and six touchdowns, while
Brett Nabb has added 485 rushing yards, four scores, and 294 passing yards. The duo has claimed three MAC Offensive Player of the Week honors between them and both rank in the top-20 nationally in rushing yards per game.
DelVal (2–2, 2–1 MAC) has transitioned into a balanced offense. Quarterback Mike Galasso has passed for 972 yards and nine touchdowns against just three interceptions. His top target, Gavin Migliori, averages 87 receiving yards per game with four scores, while Justin Brown leads the run game with 156 yards. The Aggies average 363 yards per contest, mixing tempo and balance. They are 8-for-9 in red-zone conversions this fall.
Eastern's defense continues to progress. The Eagles are allowing just 3.4 yards per play and 96.5 rushing yards per game. Linebackers
Jason Bateman and Gashawn Moody lead a group that has been sharp against the run. Edge rushers
Wayne Clark and
Salif Nikiema have combined for four sacks and seven tackles for loss.
DelVal's defense remains stout and opportunistic, anchored by linebacker Jeremiah Clark (50 tackles, two interceptions) and end Thomas Arcaroli (three sacks, 6.5 TFLs). The Aggies have forced 11 turnovers but have allowed opponents to convert over 50% of third downs—a number Eastern's methodical offense will look to exploit.
Special teams could help determine field position. Eastern's
John Westfield (40.4-yard average, four punts of 50+ yards) and DelVal's Brendan Hazell (33.4 avg, 1 inside the 20) have both been consistent. Long fields and execution in the red zone could prove decisive.
The Aggies have won both games in the series. Del val won 29-6 at Franklin Field in 2023 and 27-0 in Doylestown last year.
Jakib Media will be running a pregame show outside the field. Fans looking to attend the game should look at
parking and shuttle information on the website. There will be a shuttle running from the Mcinnis lot on campus
