KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Eastern Men's Golf continued its fall season over the weekend with the two-day Bear Invitational at the Berkleigh Golf Club. The Eagles finished with a total score of 690, and showed a 12-stroke improvement on Saturday.
First-year
Michael Hotalen recorded a top-20 finish, carding an 81 on day on and a 75 on day two for a total score of 156. On Friday, he carded 10 pars and a pair of birdies. He shot an even 37 on the back nine. On Saturday, he fired a 36 on the front and a 39 on the back with 13 pars and another birdie.
Graduate
Jacob Wagner finished just two strokes behind Hotalen, carding a 158 with a 78 on day one and an 80 on day two. The Broomall native finished with nine pars and a team-high three birdies on Friday, firing a par 37 on the back nine. He carded a 36 on the front nine on Saturday, recording another birdie and nine pars.
Eastern will return to action next week at The Battle of Bulle Rock, which takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday in Havre de Grace, Md.
