FLEETWOOD, Pa. - Over the weekend, Eastern Men's Golf competed in the 2026 MAC Commonwealth Men's Golf Championships at Golden Oaks Golf Club. With a strong 77 on day two, graduate golfer
Jacob Wagner earned All-MAC Second Team honors.
In the first full year of Head Coach
Kyle Friebolin's tutelage, Eastern Men's Golf had their first All-Conference golfer in three years. Wagner, who hails from Broomall, became the first golfer since 2023 to earn All-MAC honors, firing a 157 over the course of the two-day competition. After an 80 on a rain-soaked Saturday, Wagner was brilliant on the front nine, shooting -1 on the first eight holes. Wagner recorded six straight pars before hitting a hole seven, and finished the front nine at +1. Wagner then added five pars on the back nine to secure his podium finish.
All four other golfers for Eastern shot under 90 on day two. First-year
Michael Hotalen capped off his first season with an 84 on Saturday, finishing with eight pars and a birdie on hole 16.
Zach Sievert finished with an 86, recording a birdie on hole one and seven pars.
Owen Bradley carded an 88 with seven pars.
Eastern Men's Golf will be back in action next fall.
