PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - In its first of two events this weekend, Eastern Men's Track and Field competed in the Widener DIII Invitational on Friday evening at the Ott Center on the campus of Penn University.
Ni'Male Greenwood continued his strong start to his sophomore season, and two other Eagles recorded top-eight finishes.
Greenwood competed in the 60m and 200m Meter in Friday's event, recording a pair of top-five finishes. The Philadelphia native finished fourth in the 60m at 6.92 seconds and also finished fourth in the 200m with a time of 22.21 seconds. His time in the 200m was a season-best.
In the 800m, fellow sophomore
Robert Walton placed fifth in the 800m with a time of 1:57.39.
Ryle Mellinger recorded a personal best finish in the 1 Mile, crossing the finish in 4:26.55, good for an eighth place finish.
Other members of the Eastern Men's Track and Field squad will compete on Saturday in the Coach I Invitational on Saturday. Events are set to begin at 9:30 am.
