Six Earn MAC-Commonwealth Men's Lacrosse Recognition

NEWTOWN, Pa.– The Middle Atlantic Conference office today released all-conference lists and special awards for men's lacrosse. League coaches recognized six Eastern University student-athletes with All-MAC Commonwealth recognition.

Nick Litzenberger was the only Eagle to garner first-team recognition. The senior midfielder returns to the First Team for a second year after he scored a career-best 37 goals and added 21 assists. He scored at least one goal in 18-of-19 games and despite playing through injury, tallied at least two points in every game against a conference opponent. His 13-yard step-down shot in the final minute turned out to be the game-winner in Eastern's 11-10 MAC Commonwealth Semifinal win at York. Litzenberger had a five-goal game in Eastern's 15-12 loss to Messiah and had five-point games in both Eastern's games at York and in a 16-4 win at Widener. He finishes the 2024 season with 138 career points.

Nicholas Fanelli was selected to the Second-Team on Attack. It is the third time he has been on the Second Team. He was a first-team selection with a 50 goal, 52 assist season in 2023. Fanelli scored 41 goals and added 25 assists to become the first Eastern player to reach 300 career points. Beyond his typical duties around the cage, the graduate student from Perkasie took on additional responsibilities in the clearing game.  After going without a point in his debut in February of 2020, he recorded at least one point in his next 73 games. He finishes his career as Eastern's career leader in goals (193), assists(139) , and points (332).

Dominic Marangoni joined Fanelli on the Second Team. The short-stick defensive midfielder was influential in settled defense and in transition. Though he often served as the primary defender against a dodging midfielder or attackman, Marangoni was not flagged for a penalty in league play. He had a goal, and assist, and two caused turnovers against Messiah. Marangoni was a second-team honoree last season as well.

The Eagles had three players receive Honorable Mention as well. Senior goalie Ethan Myers made 234 stops and had a 52.8 save percentage. He is active in the clear and on the ride and scored a goal against York's 10-man ride. Jack Bradley earned recognition as a Long-Stick-Midfielder, and Sean Dendall got the nod as a Defender. The duo were part of a unit with Myers and Marangoni that came together to help the Eagles overcome a deficit in possession time as the league season progressed. Dendall and Bradley are both sophomores.
