NEWTOWN, Pa.— The Middle Atlantic Conference office today released All-league honors and special awards for the 2026 Men's Lacrosse season. MAC Commonwealth Coaches tabbed four Eastern University players for honors.
Brett Gougler and
Sean Dendall earned First-Team All-MAC Commonwealth recognition and
Brett Williamson and
Nicholas Ciampaglio earned spots on the Second Team
Dendall, a senior from Sinking Spring, Pa., is a repeat selection at close defense. The four-year starter earned Honorable mention in each of his first two seasons before grabbing first-team recognition last year and this year. He finished the season with a career-best 40 ground balls and added 22 caused turnovers while often being matched-up against the opposing team's top offensive threat. He finishes his career with 80 caused turnovers and 124 ground balls.
Gougler earned recognition in the midfield. After playing two seasons at Cabrini, Gougler came to Eastern and stepped into an initiating role in the offense. After earning second-team honors last year, Gougler increased his production this year and reached the 100-point mark for his career with a five-point day at York. He tallied at least one point in every MAC Commonwealth game.
Though he started the year on attack, injuries int he midfield had Williamson joining Gougler on the first line. The senior from Texas finished the season with 24 goals and a career-best 12 assists. Williamson finishes his career with 75 goals and 18 assists. This is his first All-MAC Commonwealth recognition.
Ciampaglio finished the season with a career-best 26 caused turnovers. He became an important part of Eastern's faceoff group and finished second on the team with 55 ground balls. The senior from Pylesville, Md. scored twice. This is his first All-MAC Commonwealth honor.
Eastern Men's Lacrosse went 4-3 in the league and reached MAC Commonwealth Tournament with a come-from-behind win at Hood on the final day of the regular season. Eastern has qualified for post-season play in each season since 2007.
