Andrew Collins earned his first MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week HOnor.
After injuries left a hole on Eastern's attack group, Collins a midfielder and man-up specialist moved to attack. In just his second and third starts of his career, Collins produced six goals and three assists.
He scored on all four of his shots in Eastern's home win over Albright.
That victory set the Eagles up for Saturday's test at Hood. Playing against a hot goalie, the Eagles trailed until late. Collins had a goal in the second quarter, but Eastern still trailed 7-3 with three minutes to play. Down 7-5 in the final minute, Collins picked up has third assist of the week for a man-up goal with 33 seconds to play. He scored his second goal of the game to tie the contest with less than seven seconds on the clock. The Eagles scored on their first possession in overtime to secure a spot in the post-season.
Eastern will play at York on Wednesday.
