PHILADELPHIA– Bridgette Kelly leads four Eastern players on the Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors (Philly-SIDA) Academic All-Area list for Women's Volleyball. Kelly becomes the fourth Eastern Volleyball player to earn Performer of the Year recognition on the list. She is joined on the All-Area squad by teammates Grace Casagrande, Logan Martin, and Hannah Pringle. It is the first time Eastern Volleyball has had more than two players honored.

The team honors student-athletes who excel on the court and in the classroom. It is voted on by Sports Information Directors from the 30 institutions in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area. This season's list also included student-athletes from Temple, Villanova, Haverford, Jefferson, Ursinus, and Neumann. To be nominated, student-athletes needed at least a 3.3 GPA.

With her all-around game as a middle hitter, Kelly picked up her second MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year Honor. She was a threat to score in the offense with 2.37 kills per set, on defense with a team-best 79 blocks, or serving with a team-leading 49 aces. The senior from Coatesville will graduate in May with a degree in Business Administration.

After earning a spot on the team last year, Martin earns her second Philly-SIDA All-Area nod. As an attacking force out of the middle, she put down 2.81 kills per set while hitting .336. She hit 1000 career kills early in the season on a night where she pounded out 18 against a very good Christopher Newport University squad. She Earned First-Team All-MAC Commonwealth Honors. She finished her career with 1117 kills. Martin will graduate in December with a degree in Exercise Science, and she will continue her education and compete in beach Volleyball at the University of Tampa.

Casagrande makes the list after earning her third-consecutive MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year Honor. The four-year starter at libero set a new program-record with 5.66 digs per set and finished her career as one of only two Eastern players to reach 2,000 career digs. She set a new program-record with 40 digs in Eastern's five-set loss to Trinity. After starting her career during the COVID pause, the Coatesville native is in graduate school studying early childhood education.

Pringle, an outside hitter from East Greenville, picks up another honor after an outstanding junior season. Pringle led the MAC with 3.93 kills per set and was named First-team All-MAC Commonwealth and AVCA Honorable Mention All-American. She reached 1,000 career kills on a 17-kill night against New York University.

The 2024 Eagles played 12 matches against teams in the Division III NCAA Tournament.

Kelly joins Alicia Weigel (2016), Katrina Pisch (2014), and Maria Horning (2010 & 2011) in earning the honor. This year is the second-straight year and just the third time that Eastern has had multiple players earn spots on the list. Courtney Reinhold joined Horning on the list in 2011.
