LEXINGTON, Ky.– The United States Marine Corps and the the American Volleyball Coaches Association today released collegiate and high school teams that earned the USMC/ AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year. Eastern University Women's Volleyball earned the team award and was selected to the Team Academic Honor for maintaining a team GPA in the top 20% of all Division III women's teams.

The Team Award recognizes those collegiate teams who maintain better than a 3.3 team GPA for the year. The 2022 MAC Commonwealth Champion Eagles finished the year with an impressive 3.653 team GPA. 

Elle-Jiron-Bujanda and Grace Casagrande each earned Academic All-MAC Honors in the fall and twelve Eastern players earned spots on the MAC Academic Honor Roll. Eastern Women's Volleyball has won two consecutive MAC Commonwealth Championships and has competed in 21 of the last 23 NCAA Division III Championship Tournaments.
