GLASSBORO, N.J. - On the Saturday before Easter, Eastern Track and Field competed at the Oscar Moore Invitational at Rowan University. A pair of Eagles finished with personal bests, and as a unit, Eastern had 10 top-eight finishers.
Aliza White-Vega won the pole vault for the fourth time in her sophomore season, clearing 3.20 meters.
Rainee Wright had a strong day in the hurdles, placing third in the 100m hurdles (18.73) and fifth in the 400m hurdles (1:15.63), a new personal best for the sophomore.
Logan Martin placed sixth in the javelin (31.18 m), while
Kelly Cummings finished seventh in the 3000 Meter with a personal best time of 12:05.22.
On the men's side,
Andre Taylor recorded a pair of top-five finishes, placing second in the triple jump (12.70 m) and fourth in the long jump (6.25 m).
Amari Dickerson also placed in the top-10 of the long jump with a sixth-place finish (5.55 m).
Solomon Rios came in sixth in the 400m hurdles (1:04.39), while
Nolan Case finished sixth in the pole vault (3.75 m).
Eastern Track and Field will be back in action next Saturday, April 15, at the Bill Butler Invitational hosted at West Chester University. Events begin at 10:00 am.
